Matthew Jermiason

Based in New York City, Matthew Jermiason is a musician and freelance trombonist with a passion to engage people with music. Matthew has connected with audiences all over the United States with dynamic musicianship.

Currently, Matthew plays with the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra, the PaigeRusso Entertainment Band, the Prospect Brass Quintet, and was a founding member of the Escalation Horns Brass Band. As a freelancer, Matthew subs in the NYC music scene.

Matthew received his Master's Degree in Trombone Performance from Bowling Green State University, and studied with Brittany Lasch, Garth Simmons, and William Mathis. Matthew received his Bachelors in Music Education from Minot State University.

Matthew has held positions with the Minot Symphony Orchestra as principal trombonist, the Western Plains Opera Company, Cedar Point Live Entertainment, Valley Fair Live Entertainment, Kidz Theatre Company of NYC, Minot Summer Theatre Company, Minot City Band, and the Brass Band of Minot.

Matthew is pursuing a solo career in trombone. Matthew is presenting his Debut NYC Trombone Recital later this year.
