About Matthew Jermiason
Based in New York City, Matthew Jermiason is a performer and influencer that is eager to engage people with his passion for music. Matthew has had the opportunity to connect with audiences all over the United States with his dynamic musicianship.
He holds a Master's Degree in Trombone Performance from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. While attending BGSU, he studied with Brittany Lasch, Garth Simmons, and William Mathis.
Matthew was a member of the Beach Band Brass Band and Fire and Ice at Cedar Point. He also played with the Benchwarmerz Brass Band at Valley Fair.
Matthew received his undergraduate in Music Education from Minot State University in North Dakota. While attending school at MSU, Matthew was appointed principal trombone of the Minot Symphony Orchestra. He also held positions with the Western Plains Opera Company, Minot Summer Theatre Company, Minot City Band, and the Brass Band of Minot.
Matthew has been a member of several chamber ensembles including Minot State Brass Quintet and the BG Bones, which he was a founding member.
Matthew is currently freelancing in NYC as a symphonic trombone musician and social media influencer.
